Bellmore’s #1 Power Washing Pros provides specialized non-pressure soft wash services designed to safely eliminate black streaks and organic growth. We help homeowners in Bellmore, NY protect their shingles and restore their home’s beauty using industry-approved soft wash technology.
Soft wash is a specialized, low-pressure cleaning method designed specifically for delicate roofing materials. Unlike traditional power washing, which can use force high enough to dislodge shingles or strip away protective granules, soft washing relies on a customized blend of biodegradable cleaning solutions. In the humid, coastal environment of Bellmore, NY, roofs are frequently attacked by Gloeocapsa Magma, a hardy form of algae that creates those unsightly black streaks. This algae, along with moss and lichen, actually feeds on the limestone filler in your shingles, causing them to become brittle and fail prematurely.
At Bellmore’s #1 Power Washing Pros, we utilize a soft wash system that is the only method recommended by the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association (ARMA). Our process ensures that your roof is sanitized and cleared of all organic infestations without the risk of water damage or structural compromise. By choosing our professional service in Bellmore, NY, you aren’t just cleaning your roof; you are investing in a chemical treatment that kills growth at the root, ensuring a deeper clean that lasts significantly longer than a simple high-pressure rinse.
Homeowners in our community often face the frustration of roof stains that make a perfectly good house look aged and neglected. Many residents are rightfully concerned that traditional power washing will void their roof warranty or lead to leaks, which is why they turn to Bellmore’s #1 Power Washing Pros. We solve these problems by providing a safe, non-abrasive solution that effectively erases years of buildup. Our local expertise allows us to address the specific types of vegetation that thrive on Long Island roofs, giving Bellmore residents peace of mind knowing their home is in the hands of professionals who prioritize long-term roof health over a “quick fix.”
Inspection and Evaluation: We start by assessing the type of roofing material and the severity of the organic growth to tailor our cleaning solution specifically for your home.
Surface Preparation: We start by protecting your property, which includes pre-wetting surrounding plants and ensuring gutter downspouts are diverted. We also deploy protective tarps to neutralize runoff and use downstream injectors to maintain solution integrity throughout the application.
Professional Soft Wash Treatment: Utilizing 25-40 degree fan tips on our soft wash rigs, we ensure even distribution of our surfactant-enhanced mix. This specialized gentle pump process allows for optimal penetration into siding and trim, ensuring complete coverage of all affected areas.
Dwell Time and Sanitization: We allow the solution to sit, giving it time to neutralize the algae, mold, and moss at the root level.
Final Inspection: We perform a final walkthrough to ensure the results are uniform and that your Bellmore property is left in pristine condition.
Experienced Technicians: Our team is specifically trained in the chemistry and safety protocols of soft wash and roof cleaning.
Safe Cleaning Methods: We use low-pressure techniques that are 100% safe for your shingles and won’t void your manufacturer’s warranty.
Licensed and Insured: We provide full protection for our crew and your home, giving you complete peace of mind.

Yes, Soft Wash can help prevent roof damage in Bellmore, NY by removing algae, moss, and lichen before they weaken shingles and hold moisture against the roof. Organic growth may look harmless, but it can shorten roof life over time, especially in humid coastal areas. The soft wash method avoids the high pressure that can create its own damage while still treating the root cause of staining. Bellmore's #1 Power Washing Pros | Roof & House Washing uses this approach because it supports roof preservation, not just appearance. For many homeowners, that preventive benefit is one of the biggest reasons to choose Soft Wash.
